RULES RULES FOR RENTERS AT WATERVIEW COLONY 1. The speed limit is 10 MPH. Please observe all stop signs. All vehicles, including mopeds, minibikes, motorcycles, etc. must use the roads only. No vehicles are permitted down the ramp leading to the picnic and beach areas by the pond.
2. Your vehicle should be parked in the area designated for your cottage.
3. Under the Massachusetts State Sanitary Code, it is illegal to have more than two people per bedroom in your cottage.
4. No overnight sleeping is allowed in the beach and picnic areas, porches, decks, tents, hammocks, campers, mobile homes, or vehicles of any kind.
5. No pets at all are permitted in the cottages or grounds. Pet owners who bring their pets must keep them in kennels off premises.
6. Please do not litter. All garbage is to be placed in paper or plastic bags and deposited in the large dumpster located adjacent to the lodge, near the woods.
7. Outdoor barbecues must be used by adults only and only at the picnic area by the pond. No barbecuing is permitted inside or by your cottage, screened porches or decks. No barbecuing after dark.
8. We do not have a lifeguard. Consequently, you are responsible for the safety of your family, children, and friends.
9. No loud, excessive noise, including slamming of car, porch, and cottage doors after 10:00p.m. and before 8:00a.m. in consideration of others. No loud radios or noisy parties are permitted at any time.
10. Discharging of fireworks of any nature is forbidden under state law.
11. The lodge is for cottage-owner use only. The boats by the pond are also the property of cottage owners.
12. Do not flush disposable diapers down the toilet as they clog cesspool.
13. No articles of clothing, towels, etc., are to be placed on railings, decks, fences, or bushes. Please use the clothesline near your cottage.
14. Decks and screened porches are not to be used as a storage area.
15. When leaving during the day, please close all windows and doors in case of rain.
16. When you leave, please leave the cottage as clean as you found it. Close all windows and dispose of any refuse in the dumpster.
